Simultaneous Exhibitions

UQCC Friendly Simultaneous Online Chess with FM AMIR HOSSEIN JAMSHIDI

The United Queens Chess Club has already previously invited a Kyrgyz player and an Indian grandmaster in these past few months. Now, we go further into the Western Asia – IRAN! As of the moment, Iran is consistently in the top 30 rankings as the strongest chess playing nation with 14 GMs, 23 IMs and still counting. Among the 129 titled players in the country, the United Queens Chess Club is excited that FM Amir Hossein Jamshidi has accepted the challenge to facing the best of the best the Filipino youth has to offer.

With a FIDE standard rating of 2264, he earned his rightful title as a FIDE master early in his career. Still only 22 years old, he has competed several times in well-known local tournaments such as the Iran Chess Championships. He took part in the 2015 tournament under the U15 boys category at the Booshehr-Fajr Sport Complex in Iran, with a time control of 90 minutes and 30 seconds increment. Out of the 24 participants, he finished with a good tiebreaker to place him at second place with an overall score of 7 out of 9 points. Despite him being only the sixth-seeded player, he only drew two times and lost once. He joined the Iranian Chess Championship under the team Madrese Shatranj Paeiz Ahvaz in the year 2016 and 2017. Although the team did not win against the superstars and favorites of the tournament, he scored the highest in his team as the board 2 player. Just late last year, he once again showed his talent in team tournaments at the 24th Iranian First League 1398. Still playing on the second board, he placed as the second-best player with a performance rating of 2263. He scored 5.5 points in 7 games as his team, Dal Law Institution, won the championship title. A superb performance indeed against many high-rated players.

Come and watch.
